🌍 The world of travel schoolers
Where Family Travel Becomes a Journey of Learning
👨👩👧👦 Who We Are
We are The Khanabadosh Family — a traveling Indian family of four exploring the country for 1000 days to learn through real-life experiences.
We believe that travel is not just about destinations — it’s about discovery, connection, and growth.
Our journey began with a simple idea: what if our travels could become our children’s school?
As we traveled across Ladakh, rural Himalayas, and beyond, we saw how nature, people, and cultures became our children’s best teachers.
Now, we’re building a community of travel-loving parents who wish to bring that same magic into their own families’ lives — even if they live in cities, have jobs, and send their kids to school.
🌱 What is Travel Schooling?
Travel Schooling is an approach where the world becomes the classroom.
Children learn through experiences — nature walks, road trips, heritage explorations, farm visits, cultural immersions, and outdoor play.
It’s not about leaving school behind; it’s about expanding learning beyond walls.
Through travel, kids learn essential life skills — adaptability, curiosity, empathy, and problem-solving — while discovering the joy of learning through real life.

🌞 Why Parents Should Embrace Travel and Outdoor Learning
In today’s fast-changing world, our children need more than grades — they need skills for life.
Travel and outdoor learning help them develop:
- 🧭 Confidence & Curiosity: Learning to navigate new places and ideas
- 💬 Communication Skills: Interacting with diverse people and cultures
- 🌿 Environmental Awareness: Understanding nature, sustainability, and real-world ecology
- 🤝 Empathy & Adaptability: Experiencing different ways of living
- 🎒 Critical Thinking: Connecting classroom learning with the real world
Every family trip, park visit, or weekend hike can become a mini learning expedition.
That’s what travel schooling truly means — learning by living.
