πΏ The Khanabadosh School
Learning Beyond Classrooms. Living Beyond Walls.
A movement that redefines education through nature, travel, and real-world experiences β building a generation of conscious, curious, and climate-aware learners.
ποΈ Who We Are
The Khanabadosh School is an initiative by The Khanabadosh Family β a traveling educator family on a 1000-day journey across India, learning from people, places, and the planet.
We collaborate with schools, families, and organizations to design outdoor learning experiences that connect children with nature, nurture curiosity, and inspire climate action.
We believe that real education happens when children step outside β into forests, farms, villages, and the living world around them.
π What We Do
We curate hands-on, experiential programs where learning meets life:
π³ Outdoor Learning Programs
Immersive, theme-based sessions in natural settings β parks, farms, forests β where children learn through observation, play, and reflection.
Example: The Secret Life of Trees, Seasons and Stories, Farm to Forest, Water Walk, Soil Stories, Nature through the Five Senses
π« School Collaborations
We partner with schools to co-design nature-integrated learning modules, teacher training, and field immersion programs that align with NEPβs experiential learning goals.
π§ Family & Community Programs
Monthly family sessions and community events to help parents reconnect with nature, practice slow living, and discover the joy of learning together.
π Sustainability & Climate Action
Workshops, storytelling sessions, and awareness campaigns focused on sustainable living, local wisdom, and climate responsibility β crafted for students, corporates, and communities.
π± Why It Matters
Todayβs children spend 90% of their time indoors. They are disconnected from the very ecosystems that sustain them.
The Khanabadosh School bridges that gap by creating spaces for real-world learning, helping children:
- Build empathy for people and planet
- Develop problem-solving & observation skills
- Experience the joy of mindful exploration
- Learn the science of sustainability through lived experiences
π Our Vision
To make outdoor education an integral part of mainstream learning β nurturing a generation that not only studies the Earth but protects it.
